Moving to a New Hosting Environment

Over the next few months we will be moving all of our clients from our dedicated server to a new hosting environment. Why you say?

The main reasons are Access and Control. But the biggest is to serve you better.

Access:

Currently on our dedicated server only Orcapack personel has access to the server. There is only one benefit to this. It makes the server secure and we know the code is not being tinkered with.

Control:

Currently Orcapack personnel must do all the server changes for email, mailing lists and vacation auto-responders. Many of you have asked to take this responsibility from us.

How will this serve you better?

You will now have the ability to set an out of the office reply! That's probably enough for most of you.

You will have access to a real webmail. You will have access to shared calendaring. You will be able to create ftp accounts and store files. Automated individual backups!

Currently we backup the server. Availability of add on products for your use. For those of you who would like to use google apps for your company email and calendar, we will be happy to help your set that up as an alternative to our email system. I will let you in a little secret we use google apps email for Orcapack!

If you have you own mail server don't worry we will make the mx record switch and not disrupt your service.
